Christmas was wonderful. My mother and I made Nativity costumes for all the grandkids. They played out the Christmas story. It was so cute!

Lagoon

Well I worked at this place for part of the summer and some of my friends went there for Frightmares. I am really scared of heights and my friends wanted to go on the Skycoaster. If you know anything about this ride, it is really high up. It pulls you with a cable up over 150ft and then someone has to pull the rip cord after hanging in the air for what seems like forever. Then you fall at 50-80mph and it looks like you will hit the ground. Not my idea of fun. After a lot of coaxing from my friends I agreed to ride. I wanted to back out if it several times. I was put in a harness and pulled up with 2 of my friends. I closed my eyes and realized it wasn't so bad. It was so much fun! I would do it again. I felt like I was flying. Pioneer Trek

My singles ward went on a pioneer trek last weekend. We pulled hardcarts, walked through mud and 2 creeks. We had really good food that our friend Dave made in dutch ovens. We sang songs, played pioneer games, and had a water fight too! The womans' pull was really hard and I was so tired. It was a great experience! Here are some pics of our trip.

Summertime in June

Most people are out of school for the summer, taking time to go on vacations, and heading for the swimming pool.
Well I am busy this summer working 2 jobs, (the hospital and Lagoon) but I have had some time to play. I have hung out with friends and family and I saw 2 movies this weekend.
Nim's Island and Get Smart! They were both really good movies. There is a fun game to play for Nim's Island called Seaside Shuffle. It's addicting.

Busy Memorial Weekend

This weekend started out by seeing the new Indiana Jones movie. I thought it was great!

Then I imagined a quiet weekend at home, sleeping in, watching some TV, nothing too exciting.


That all changed. ...........
After painting part of my mother's living room and sewing curtains with my SIL Lee, I got a phone call Saturday night from my brother. They had their baby.
Her name is Julia. She is so cute!

American Idol

So I am a semi big fan of American Idol. Some weeks I would watch and other weeks I would forget it was on. Then on Wednesday when the Finale was on I decided to go with a friend to the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake to watch.

It was crazy with all the other fans there! Tons of screaming and yelling, that we could barely hear the show. They had 2 clips that were filmed in Salt Lake. You can barely see me! It was so much fun to be there.

And the winner is .............. David Cook! Everyone was so sad. Some of the fans were crying and booing which I thought was a little much.

I wanted David Archuletta to win, but he still recieved a new car and a record deal so I don't feel too bad for him.

Birthday Week

My birthday falls on May 6th, but this year it has lasted a little longer than one day.

So this year I have done a few things.

My parents took me to the Desert Star. I LOVE that place! I laughed so hard. The show was The Wizard of Odd. (a funny take from The Wizard of Oz and Wicked)



Then my cute sisters and mom took me out to dinner. We went to The Manderian. Yummy Chinese Food that I love! We were out pretty late.



I recieved a few phone calls and email from family and friends that were so sweet! I even talked to this sister and her cute kids on the phone (she would have come if she didn't live so far)


I also had a good friend take me to Cold Stone for Ice cream ( my favorite)

The Hale Theatre

ANNIE GET YOUR GUN!!!!!!!!!!

I went and saw this play with my sister-in-law Lee. We had such a good time. I love going to the theatre. This was a really good musical.

Scavenger Hunt

Our singles ward did this great scavenger hunt on Saturday. We were a bit crazy. My friends in my group was Lori, Becca, and Amy. We had tons to do and we were the first to finish. Some of the girls in the group are real competitive.

Emma Smith

I saw this movie over the weekend. I really liked it. Its kind of a documentary. Its a sad movie too, but it made me appreciate all that Emma did and to realize how hard her life was.
You should try and see it!

Bar J

On Friday I went to a concert/ western show for

The BAR J Wranglers. It was so much FUN!

Its a comedy show and lots of country singing. My dad loves this group. They are from his hometown of JacksonHole, WY

Good Book

Well I guess I finally joined the club and read these books. The Twilight series is so good. I can't wait for the movie to come out and her new book Breaking Dawn

Busy Month

I haven't posted for a while cause I have been so busy!!!!!!!!!!!.

I moved out of my cozy condo!
My roomie Noelle is getting married on the 1st of March so I moved in with my parents.
Its a nice place and I never have to worry about food. The only downfall is the commute to work. Yuck!

President Hinkley Viewing

My friend and I decided to go to the Conference Center for the viewing of President Hinkley.

We took TRAX downtown because of parking. It took a little over 2 hours before we went through. Because of all the people there it was really noisy outside the conference.

When we finally went through it was so peaceful and quiet. It was a remarkable experience. I am glad that I had an opportunity to go.
