Busy Memorial Weekend

This weekend started out by seeing the new Indiana Jones movie. I thought it was great!

Then I imagined a quiet weekend at home, sleeping in, watching some TV, nothing too exciting.


That all changed. ...........
After painting part of my mother's living room and sewing curtains with my SIL Lee, I got a phone call Saturday night from my brother. They had their baby.
Her name is Julia. She is so cute!

American Idol

So I am a semi big fan of American Idol. Some weeks I would watch and other weeks I would forget it was on. Then on Wednesday when the Finale was on I decided to go with a friend to the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake to watch.

It was crazy with all the other fans there! Tons of screaming and yelling, that we could barely hear the show. They had 2 clips that were filmed in Salt Lake. You can barely see me! It was so much fun to be there.

And the winner is .............. David Cook! Everyone was so sad. Some of the fans were crying and booing which I thought was a little much.

I wanted David Archuletta to win, but he still recieved a new car and a record deal so I don't feel too bad for him.

Birthday Week

My birthday falls on May 6th, but this year it has lasted a little longer than one day.

So this year I have done a few things.

My parents took me to the Desert Star. I LOVE that place! I laughed so hard. The show was The Wizard of Odd. (a funny take from The Wizard of Oz and Wicked)



Then my cute sisters and mom took me out to dinner. We went to The Manderian. Yummy Chinese Food that I love! We were out pretty late.



I recieved a few phone calls and email from family and friends that were so sweet! I even talked to this sister and her cute kids on the phone (she would have come if she didn't live so far)


I also had a good friend take me to Cold Stone for Ice cream ( my favorite)
